@Dr J: This is strange, it is the second subject I wanted to cover yesterday and I saw it covered today ;-)

The second is on guitarnoize.com

We must be somehow on the same frequency!
@Jack: I also love Soul searching, Jack!Especially the part just before the chorus, is very interesting.

Not too far off the mark. I think that the projects that I've got them into are among the more Secular things they've done. Sisters, by the way, part of the very musical Bilyeu (Big Smith is a prominent local band that features many of the family) clan.

Those girls (Joy Steele, Robin Reese) can sing. I call 'em the Hillbunnies. I use them every chance I get in the studio but, haven't had the opportunity to do so live, yet. In this game, anybody that's any good expects to get paid, have you noticed that?

Retaliation noted. Someday I'm gonna show up for one of your gigs. Seriously, it's on my "to-do" list. Especially if the backup singers are there for "Soul Searching'"...

Let's see here, I will no doubt play 3 of Taco's 14 in a bar tomorrow night. Not a very good average, pretty close to the Mendoza line. In my defense, I have in the past, played 6/14 to the best of my recall.

Regarding your suggestions:
Medleys-"Hooked On" all sucked. "Hooked On Punk" might have been interesting. I try to avoid the gimme medley, you know like 9 Chuck Berry songs, that kind of thing. It's usually an indication of a band needing to burn time. However, one of the best live shows I've seen was the Carbbean All-Stars in Monterey, CA. They would do an entire set without stopping between songs. Segues of original, instrumental sections in between tunes, very effective. No heckling.

Kinsey Sicks-Was not aware of them. You are correct about the biker bar for this crew but, damn; that's an ACT!

Preaching-Dead on right. I've played with guys who feel it is their duty to "witness" and I've witnessed that the audience takes it as condescending.
The stop drinking guy link was a hoot. 5. "High & Dry": Why drink when you've got drugs? was my favorite.

Varese-Now, personally I would pay to see this in a bar or anywhere else.

Off Key-A little pitchy there Dog. There's an art to singing out of tune and pulling it off. Study the masters.

Bad Joke-Nice one-expect retaliation.
