Tough read yes but, I would go so far as to say essential if one is wanting to be serious about recording.
When I was recording and engineering demos as a way of life, I kept that chart in easy view of the desk at all times.

Solfege, a system of note learning; “Do-Re-Mi”, a song by Rodgers and Hammerstein from the musical and film The … okay this is what I thought. I had a voice teacher once. He went so fast, I had nightmares about his lessons. Kind of like taking calculus for math majors at 8AM Saturday mornings… you know, a blur?
